I finish High School next year in November and was hoping to go travelling to France or a French-speaking country for about a month, would I be able to go there on a working holiday or studying trip for such a short period?

http://www.scce.com.au/ <--- I went to Brittany for 3 months with them. :)

But, having gone on exchange for 3 months - which was great, and the longest time that suited me - my main advice would be to go for as long as you possibly can. Three months minimum - I became very proficient in French that way and gained a hell of a lot. Any less will not be long enough, trust me. But if at all possible, go for a year. That way you get to go on Eurotour, reaaaally learn the language an dhte culture, and just benefit personally. I'm studying abroad when I go to uni, and I know that I will go for at least a semester, hopefully a full year.

Oh, and look around at different companies and apply early for scholarships.

Hey, you're one of Hayley's friends! (We went on exchange at the same time).
I just realised that. Yes. :)

Yes, Hayley and I go to school together. We also have Claire (unripe) as another mutual friend) :)
